There’s no better way to unwind after a days work, than to head to a creek for some fly fishing. Such was the case during the week with Bryan, as we headed to a remote creek in the North West.
Almost as soon as we arrived I spotted a nice looking fish in the shallows. I tucked myself behind a tree stump and got into position. My back cast had to split the sticks but success was achieved on the second cast, which saw a little Royal Wulff land ahead of the fish. Ever so slowly, the fish opened its jaws and sipped… Fish on!! I thought the fish would go buck-wild on the two weight but it was a bit slabby and gave in quickly. It would have been a sensational fish if in prime condition.
Here’s a little video clip that Bryan took during the ‘battle’.
We continued on and landed a few more nice browns and small rainbows. We spooked some nice fish that were rippers for water of this size.
Cracking way to end the day!

If it helps Mr. Dally, I inhaled a dogs eye with dead horse for your today and washed it down with a Jimmy Boags!
